Case Study: JW Player
Bringing a Rebrand to Life in Motion
Client: JWP Connatix (formerly JW Player)
Role: Motion Design & Branded Video Production
Animator: Mike Doyle – Owner of Drive80
The Challenge
When JW Player became JWP Connatix, we needed more than just a new logo — we needed a bold, engaging way to introduce our new identity to the world.
The task: create a series of branded videos that would explain and celebrate the rebrand, build excitement, and do it all in time for a coordinated launch across our channels.
The Approach
We partnered with Mike Doyle of drive80, a corporate animation expert known for fast turnarounds and brand consistency.
Mike led us through:
- Conceptualization — aligning visuals with our new brand positioning
- Storyboarding — mapping each frame for maximum clarity and impact
- Animation — delivering polished, dynamic videos that felt unmistakably “JWP Connatix”
Every detail was on-brand, from typography to motion pacing, ensuring our audience instantly recognized the new look and feel. Mike didn’t just animate our designs — he brought them to life. He took the storyboard and transformed it into motion that felt fluid and natural. It was the missing layer of magic that made our rebrand videos engaging.
The Results
12,000+ views on social media within 24 hours of launch
Strong audience engagement and positive feedback from clients and partners
A cohesive visual story that made our rebrand memorable and shareable
The Experience
Mike exceeded our expectations in every way. His communication was clear, his turnaround time was lightning-fast, and the creative process was seamless from start to finish. The videos didn’t just meet the brief — they elevated it.
